once every four years

leap year is such a strange day.
i don't even get it!
what's the point of having one extra day every four years?
why??
all it does is make that 64 yr old actually 16!
and the 44 yr old 11
that's weird
and that sucks.
why would you want your birthday, anniversary, or any other special event
on leap year?
so you can only celebrate it every four years?
i'm confused!
so if anyone knows why there is such a thing as a leap year,
please be my guest and fill me in!

although this was a weekend or two ago i thought i should let you know about it.
so my science teacher asked if i wanted to go to a science convention for girls in lincoln
well it was being held at the embassy suites and it was free and allowed me to have a weekend
of shopping and time with my best friends in a gorgeous hotel so i said sure lol
so we got out of school early friday and started on are way to lincoln
we first started with a tour of the UNL campus, which is where i'm going to college next year
so that was good
the tour guide was a college senior and when he asked me to introduce myself he misheard me and
thought my name was SAPPHNER
can i just ask which cruel unruly parent would ever name their kid that??
why would he think that? lol
but i corrected him and it provided lots of entertainment the rest of the weekend
so Women in Science Convention doesn't sound too fun i know
but let me share the few exciting things i did that weekend.

1.held a starfish

 2. a millipede

3. a tarantula

4. a python

5. put my finger in a venus fly trap

6. spit my gum from floor nine into the waterfall in the lobby

7. and snuck out of our hotel to get hot chocolate and wander downtown lincoln

now now don't think i'm this geek into all these weird animals and reptiles,
because im not!
but how cool is it to say you've held a tarantula!
or a python!
or had a millipede crawl on your hand
ya i don't know maybe it's just me but it was pretty cool
and i'm not a naughty rebel child either
just adventurous
if you disapprove,
so be it
haters gonna hate 
but i had fun (:

it also was a big key in teaching me how to french braid!

i love dreaming.
i wish i could remember all my dreams.
i love having an amazing dream.
but, i hate hate hate waking up from them.
i wish i could just stay in that make believe moment forever.
and so you know what i try to do,
get back to sleep or at least just maybe fall back into it for a little longer
but a lot of the times its lost.
as soon as i know i wont be back in my imaginary world,
i go over every little detail of the dream that i remember
over and over and over
trying to memorize it by heart so i won't lose it again
i replay it and daydream about it all day. . .
did you know that most dreams are forgotten within the first 10 minutes?
but those one dreams you just loveeee
i never want to lose those moments
so i don't let myself
i ♥ dreaming.

Story Time

Once upon a time, Saturday night, i took a magical trip

ok im going to not tell it in storybook terms.

actually i'll tell it in pictures.

This, this is my car.

not technically, its just a picture of the car i have,

 not really the same car exactly but you understand.

ok so Saturday night i took my best friend Brittany,

anways we drove to another town we'll call

to pick up our dearest friend,

So we picked her up and went to a town called,

we'll just call it Stinky because that's what it is

so we go to movies and see. . .

now we went to this but only because we would have had to 

drive an hour to see what we wanted to see!

which was this!

oh! how i wanted to see it!! o well we'll go next weekend perhaps.

so after the movie im driving Julia home and get all confused because Anrelmo-Merma has stupid lane problems, then i took a quick turn because i was trying to get to her house and realized i had almost missed the turn, and it just so happens that i forgot to put on my blinker.

well then i see this.

it could only mean one thing obviously.

so i stop the car and get my license and registration

now this is my first time ever being stopped by a cop!

so im freaking out.

and im still 17 and technically can't be driving with two friends that aren't family members.

so he gets to my vehicle. . .

(this is me except not a guy, and it was dark, and i wasn't smiling, and he had a flashlight)

anyways...

and asks me  

why i think im being pulled over.

im in shock so he answers for me,

"you failed to put on a blinker, and you were swerving, and took that corner pretty quickly"

so i apologize, and he says

"why don't you come sit with me in my vehicle"

now my hearts beating and im scared to death, 

i have never in my life heard of a cop telling someone to go sit in a vehicle with them!

so as im getting out and leaving my best friends behind, a million thoughts race through my  mind,

-what if this isn't a cop?

-what if he's a kidnapper?

-or worse?

i have a very active imagination and im really making myself sick over this.

but i do as im told and sit with him in his vehicle

now imagine him ^ there and me, well right ^ there.

then he proceeds to question me.

-where have you been tonight?

-what have you been doing tonight?

-how old are you?

-what grade you in?

-who are those girls in the vehicle?

-etc.

i was literally about to pee on his nice policeman seat!

and i wouldn't have cared!

so then he radios in my ID and stuff and idk exactly what happened 

then he told me to stay here while he went and got my friends' IDs 

he came back and made me identify each of them and explain a lot more things.

and finally after about 20 minutes of interrogation he let me go with a verbal warning

what the heck!? 

20 minutes to remind me to use a blinker!? 

now i was late for curfew and scared out of my mind!

when i returned to my car, my friends were freakin out

and Brittany actually made herself sick over it and almost threw up.

it was horrible and i was in shock for most the way home.

it sucked.

but at least i have a halfway decent story out of it...

stupid cop.

Welcome back

so i don't believe i mentioned,
my phone died
completely died, blacked out screen
couldnt see a thing
drove me insane!
i have friends
and people i must text!
so the past 6 days have been pretty hard on me lol
but tonight we fixed that.
so welcome back social life!
nice to finally see you again,
almost died those 6 days
(im exaggerating....)
but i do love my new phone,
although im apparently not good enough for a smartphone yet
o well the dinos and i get along pretty well
(except the last one...and the one before that...and the one before that...)

i don't think i mentioned that i got those brown leather boots i wanted!

ya i got them for Christmas!

can i just say,

I love them!

i'm practically obsessed.

every time i have to dress up i literally search for an outfit that i can wear them with!

they are beautiful.

they are comfy.

they are the perfect place to hide my phone in quick situations.

they make every outfit so much more cuter.

i can honestly say they are the first set of "heels" that i love.

can i also mention,

i love my camera still!
