not again

yes i've been a horrible blogger the last few weeks. so sorry for that!
been real busy.
want me to prove it?
alright. first things first
it's prom time.
stressful and fun all at the same time!
i love prom!
i do.
i love being dressed up and all fancy for a night,
i love having that whole day to pamper myself and get ready
i love people commenting on the outcome.
but i hate getting compared to every other girl there.
face it. it's what girls do.
they look you over see how well your day of pampering payed off
and compare you to themselves or the girl next to you.
it bothers me.
can't we all just look great and have a great time together and not put rankings on it?
oh well.
ok so this wasn't my prom i went to mine isn't for another 2 weeks
and believe me i'll have a ton of pictures for you then!
this is my friend's prom he asked me to be his date and i loved it.
it was way different then my small town traditional prom,
but i had a blast and i'm so glad i got to go.

Mormon Prom?

Yes. We have a Mormon Prom.

What is this??

Our Stake, which is the Kearney, Nebraska Stake, combines with the 

Lincoln, Nebraska Stake and we have Mormon Prom.

It's pretty much where you show up in a modest prom dress without a date 

and have a great time eating, dancing, and taking pictures. 

The great thing about it is that there isn't any inappropriate dancing,

drama, or anything that could ruin the night.

in fact the biggest drama of the night would be

"so-and-so danced with what's-his-face 3 times in a row! Can you believe that??"

Oh ya, and it's in the afternoon so we have to shut off the lights as if it was a late night dance

oh and we also have a guest speaker before our dance.

haha it's pretty fun.

buuut...it's kinda awkward because let me tell you, there isn't very many 17-18 year olds that still wanna come,

so needless to say, I end up dancing with little sophomores and freshman, oh well. good memories at least.
